Ipsy November 2012

I have been looking at signing up for Ipsy (use to be MyGlamBag) for a while but I just didn't know if I wanted another subscription box.  Well, Last month I received an email from them saying that if I signed up that I would receive a They're Real Benefit mascara.  This is my all time favorite mascara (still need to write a review on it for all of you).  So I figured what the heck and signed up!

I am so glad that I signed up, this bag is EXACTLY the type of subscription that I have been wanting!!

So how cute is this bag?  I love that you get a bag with Ipsy that you are able to use, I seriously have a huge stack of boxes in my closet from all the subscription boxes so it's nice to have something that I can use!

 The bag is a dark brown canvas type bag, it has a gold zipper and is lined inside.  It has ipsy stitched inside.  Super cute!!!

This is such a fun color, It has a rose gold base with micro-glitter that also has gold and teal tinsels.  I love that this can be worn alone or as a top-coat.  This polish is 3-free, made in the USA and never tested on animals.
I think this will be amazing for a Christmas polish or New Years Eve polish.

•theBalm Meet Matt(e) eyeshadow palette - Matt Batali

I love theBalm eyeshadows so I was super excited to get this.  I don't have this color and I put it right on today!!  It went on so smooth and is so pigmented!  I dusted a light gold shimmer over it and I love it!!!  It has a dark, matte finish.  I can definitely see using this as a eyeliner too.

Matt Batali is one of the nine shadows that is in thebalm's Meet Matt(e) palette. Perfect for a smokey eye!!!

Meet Matt(e) is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.

•bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss - Daredevil

I have never used a bareMinerals lipgloss but I really love lipgloss.  I am really happy with this, I put it on at least 4 hours ago and it is still on!!  Thats even after I drank hot chocolate!!!!  It has a little bit of a minty feel to it when you put it on but it isn't overly strong, I think that it is a lip plumper because their website says that it "Volumizes for big, pouty, fuller-looking lips." It isn't too sticky and it is such a pretty color!  I will definitely be putting this in my purse!

This is a really black, black.  I am so happy that I got the black instead of brown, I wear black so much more than I wear black.  

This went on super smooth today and I was really happy with it.  It was smooth and creamy but not too smooth.  This has some serious staying power, I did a swatch on my hand and it has stayed through 2 hand washes!!!

Birchbox November 2012 - My Box

Here it is my November 2012 Birchbox!!

Okay, so I know that I always peak to see what box I am getting but it's still like Christmas day every month when I get it.  I never know what sizes I am getting and I usually get a few things that I have never heard of or something that I have been dying to try. 

This month I received 5 samples in my Birchbox.  

•Caldrea Hand Soap

Well Im not exactly jumping up and down at receiving hand soap but I am so happy that I got this instead of food.  I seriously think that I might have thrown the food back at Birchbox.  I haven't gotten one food item from Birchbox that has actually tasted good, keep your freaking protein bars Birchbox I don't want them!

I received 2 packets of this hand soap.  One in Vanilla Quince Santal (limited edition) and Sea Salt Neroli No 17.

I really like this lip gloss.  It is a sticky lipgloss so if you don't like sticky lip glosses this one definitely isn't for you.  It stays on pretty well and smells so good, it smells like watermelon!  

I love that there is a mirror on it, I don't know how many times I have been out in public and wished I had at tiny mirror to put my lip gloss on, plus it's not so noticeable that you are looking in a mirror because it's just on the lip gloss tube!

I haven't ever heard of this product but it sounds like an interesting idea.  I will definitely be trying this out.  I did spray one spray on my hand and that one spray went pretty far.

I am so excited to try this out.  I always buy volumizing hairspray because my hair lacks that ump.  This says it has Zeolite, a natural volcanic material that removes toxins to keep your hair from losing volume throughout the day.  Keratin proteins that strengthen your hair and UV absorbers keep the color looking  amazing.  

I am trying this out tomorrow!

Sample Society November 2012 Box

Okay so I got my Sample Society box a few days ago but I have been super busy and this is the first time I have actually had a chance to sit down and write about it.

I know that I gave a sneak peak into the box this month, but here is my actual box.  I pay $15 a month for my Sample Society box but I seem to *usually* get bigger samples with this box.  I also get a coupon every month for $15 off on a $50 purchase.  All I have to do is include any product from one of the BRANDS that was sampled to me.

Sample Society has one of the best customer services that I have ever seen.  Last month my conditioner had leaked in my box, not ruining anything though.  I emailed them and told them about it, hoping that they would send me a new conditioner.  They sent me A WHOLE NEW BOX!  Yes, thats right, they sent me another box with all the items in it, so last month I got two boxes!  They are amazing! 

So here it is!

This month there were 5 Samples, along with a little extra in the dermalogica box.  

• Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Dry Oil Mist

Okay, so this says that it can be used as both a treatment and a style primer.  It infuses hair with nutrients and antioxidants, strengthens hair, protects color with color hold® technology, prevents frizz and extends the life of your smooth blowout with built in humidity resistance, and it enhances shine.  

Well, I have tried Alterna products in the past and I have liked them.  I was excited to see that we were getting another Alterna product and I am excited to use this!  Im going to try it out today and I will give a full review on it.  I think that it does smell good though!

• diego dalla palma Classic Lipstick

So Im a little bit confused, the color that I got is #29 but they don't even sale it on beautybar.com.  I felt like the color was a bit umm, 12 year oldish and I don't think it is something that I would ever wear out in public.  It felt really dry going on and I felt like it made any dry spots on my lips more pronounced.  I don't think this is something that I would buy.  After having the lipstick on for awhile, my lips do feel soft and moisturized which is nice from a lipstick.

• diptyque Volutes Eau De Toilette

I was super excited to be getting another diptyque perfume, I seriously am in love with the last one that we got.  But this one smells so manly to me, I sprayed it on and wished that I hadn't.  I really think that I will be putting this in my husbands cologne box.  Not for me, no, no, no.  But their Philosykos Eau de Toilette is AMAZING other than the $120 price tag!!!!

Okay so this one has notes of Iris, honey, tobacco, spices, wax, dried fruit, pink pepper, black pepper, saffron, hay, immortelle, myrrh, storax, opopanax and benzoin.  It says it is a curl of smoke.

• Dermalogica Precleance Oil

I love Shea butter lotions, I have put this on a few times and it does absorb super fast!  It doesn't really have a smell to it, but this will be super nice to have in the car and especially this time of year.  It also says that one is sold every 5 SECONDS!!!  Crazy!!

Cravebox Cooking Light Box

So, I got a email for Cravebox saying that they had openings for the Cooking Light Cravebox.  Well, I don't cook buuuuuut I had to enter, winning these boxes are like winning the lottery for me!  I think I have a serious problem, I LOVE getting these boxes in the mail.  So of course I signed up and I WON! This box cost $13 which did include shipping, their boxes usually range from $10-$15 but they are changing the box system so we will see what exactly surprises are to come!

So anyway, here is my Cravebox Cooking Light Box.

I am not a coffe drinker, NOT AT ALL.  But my husband on the other hand is a coffee addict.  He took this to work with him and he said it was good, not as good as Starbucks but good.  He also said that he didn't have any creamer with it so I'm sure that made a huge difference.
This came with an interesting recipe for Coffee Banana Bread. Hmmm

The Fourth Item is Nectresse

I don't use artificial sweetners but my Mom does so these are going straight to her.  I am tempted to use these though, it came with a big book of recipes that look so good.  But I know that my Mom will love these.  These are from the makers of Splenda which is what she uses too.

OKAY!!!  So what do you think of all the boxes this month?  I am just so happy that I am not getting any food, I think I might have screamed if I did!!  I have never once got a mascara from Birchbox and that is my all time favorite beauty product, hmmm I wonder how I can start getting them!
