Im back!!

I have been a terrible blogger.

I am so sorry, I feel (and know) that I have neglected my little blog lately, but I do think about each and every one of you everyday!!!!

These past few months have been completely insane!!  It seems like there are so many nasty sicknesses going around, freezing cold weather and just groooossss air!!!!!  We live up on top of the mountain so everyday I get to look down at this.

Looks like clouds right?  Nope, thats all the dirty air in Utah right now that they call the inversion.  Gross.  No wonder that so many people are having respiratory issues!

In December 2 of my babies were both admitted to the hospital within 24 hours of each other, both of them had croup and both had to stay overnight.  I have never had any of my kids admitted to the hospital so I was an emotional mess!  There really is nothing worse than seeing your child in pain and its even worse when they are only 1 year old and have no idea why you are shoving a big breathing mask over their nose and mouth, ugh hopefully that never happens ever again.

But anyway, Im back!!!  Everyone is feeling better, its raining outside (freezing rain) so hopefully this nasty air is gone soon too!!

Why I write this blog

I started this blog to try to get myself (and hopefully others) motivated.  I have 4 kids under 7 and I stay at home.  I didn't ever want to become frumpy housewife, but I realized that I had when I was getting ready to go to the store and my husband asked me why I was putting makeup on!  I told him that I was going to the store and he said "why do you put makeup on to go to the store but you don't get ready for me?"  I honestly didn't know how to answer his question!  Why did I get ready to see strangers but I didn't get ready to see my own husband!!!

I decided that I needed to start trying to take better care of myself.  I always felt like all I did all day was change diapers and clean, why did I need to get ready for that?  But I realized that when I get ready for the day I FELT BETTER!  I felt better when my husband came home and I looked nice for him, I looked nice for my kids and if I had any drop by visitors I didn't look like a homeless person!

I was never taught anything about being a homemaker, I was never taught to cook!  I told my husband- who is an AMAZING cook- that the best thing I ever ate before I met him was from a can!  I was never taught how to do makeup or hair,  so when I found out that we were having our first girl, I was scared! How was I going to teach her these things when I didn't know how.  I started to experiment with her hair and started watching videos online, now I constantly get compliments on her hair.  I decided recently to start getting these makeup sample boxes so I could try out makeup and see what I like and don't like because honestly, I have no clue what is good and what isn't!

So that sorta explains my my randomness of my blog.  I want to review these products I get for all of you as well so that I can tell you what is good and whats not!!!!  I want to help other people get out of the frumpy housewife mode.

My first post

I have been wanting to start a blog for a while but never had the time.  I decided that nows the time!!  Right now it is 10:30 am.  I am still in my pajamas, my oldest is at school but my 3 younger kids are all also still in their pajamas.  I haven't started a load of laundry, actually all I have done is gone to Starbucks for a caramel apple spice!  Now how is that for motivated?

Today I am going to try to get some organization done.  We moved into our house 3 months ago and we are still living out of boxes!  Yes, 3 months of getting nothing done!!!  Today I am going to try to unpack at least 3 boxes, well maybe one!!

Im off to start the laundry!  What are your daily routines?
