Jane Iredale Longest Lash Mascara

I received the Jane Iredale Longest Lash Mascara in my August 2012, Sample Society box.  I loved that I got a mascara to try because I am super picky about mascaras and I haven't found one that I am in love with yet.

The first thing that I noticed is the shape of the mascara.  It is so cute and its in a squeezable tube!  It looks more like a lip gloss container.
Isn't it cute?!?
I was really excited to see that this sample was from Jane Iredale.  I really have liked ALL of her products that I have ever tried.  This product didn't let me down!

Like I said before, I love the shape of the mascara - I think it is so much easier to hold onto.  I didn't really that it put more product on the wand when I squeezed the container though.

I really like the wand.  It has thick bristles that are closer together, they seem to cover a lot of your lashes at once without clumping.

I applied American Beauty Eyelash Primer and only one coat of Jane Iredale Longest Lash Mascara.  I liked that it defined my eyelashes and I didn't have ANY clumping, none at all.  Usually my eyelashes get stuck together from Mascara and I have to comb them apart but that didn't happen at all.  LOVE THAT!
Jane Iredale Longest Lash Mascara on me

I do think that it lengthened my eyelashes somewhat.  I think that when people think of lengthening mascara they think they are going to end up with eyes like this:
I freaking wish!!!
But that's not what is going to happen!!  I have pretty short lashes, and it did a good job on making them appear to be longer.

I did notice that my eyelashes are super smooth.  This mascara has a conditioning formula with sea minerals that really does work!!  Im sure my eyelashes need it from all the heating I do to them from my curler!

INGREDIENTS:
Water, Algae Extract, Beeswax, Carnauba Wax, Cellulose, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Algae Extract, Vanilla Tahitensis Fruit Extract, Sweet Almond Seed Extract, Tribehenin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Panthenol, Oleic Acid. (May Contain: Iron Oxides, Carmine, Titanium Dioxide)

It comes in Dark Blonde, Dark Auburn, Ripe Plum, Slate Grey, Espresso and Black Ice

FULL SIZE: .42 oz $33.00

Overall, I do like this mascara but I don't know if I LOVE it enough to pay $33 for.
If you have damaged lashes and are looking for a way to repair them, this will definitely help!  I can't believe how soft my lashes are!!

If you are looking for a thick lash, this isn't for you.  It is more of a natural soft look.

What is your favorite Mascara?

Befine food skin care exfoliating cleanser

Befine food skin care, "kinda a weird name" Yep, that was my first thought when I received this item in my first Birchbox.
I had never used a brown sugar scrub on my face, but I thought oh what the heck! I opened my package that says "single serve" not expecting to find much in this .34 fl oz package but there was SO MUCH inside it!! It's a thick exfoliater with big granules of brown sugar.
I got a little out of the package and it seriously almost covered my entire face! I was so suprised!! Plus when I put it on it turns white so you can see exactly where you have it. I continued to rub it into my skin until the granules disappeared, then I rinsed.

I was shocked!! My face felt so soft, I honestly couldn't remember the last time my face felt so smooth!! My face was a little red because of how large the granules were but dang it felt good!! I went to go get my husband to make him feel my face; he was sleeping :(
So I went back into the bathroom to admire my soft as a babies butt skin. I decided I would also try out the Befine daily moisturizer that they sent me. This also says single serve but definitly is not! I took a small amount out, covered my face with it and I still had a ton left on hand so I rubbed it on my body. It has a nice fresh and clean scent to it.
I went to bed and when my husband woke up in the morning, I made him rub my face to make him feel how soft it felt!!! After he did that he asked me to exfoliate the top of his head because he had some dry skin from shaving his head. - he was amazed, his head looked so smooth and it felt so soft!!
This product is A-maze-ing!! Seriously!

You can buy this product so many places! 4 oz $24

Borghese Tono Body Cream Review

Body Creme Sample
I received a sample of the Borghese Tono Body Creme in my July 2012 Sample Society box.  It was a good sized sample at 1 oz and it was packed full!!!  I am a lotion and body creme freak, seriously I am constantly putting this kind of stuff on, so I was SUPER excited when I saw this in my box!

At first I was really impressed with it.  Its a good texture, not to thin not to thick.  It goes on really easy and really does a excellent job of moisturizing your skin, it feels so good right away.  A lot of body cremes will leave a gunky kinda feeling after and this didn't at all, it did what it was supposed to do and actually goes into your skin, no nasty after effect.
Full size
The only thing that I do not like about this product and the one and only reason that I will not be buying this product is the smell.  It reminds me of an old lady perfume and honestly, I don't want to smell like an old lady!  If they did change the smell of it to something younger, more fruity smelling maybe or hey maybe fragrance free???  Then I would definitely buy it!

Borghese- Tono Body Creme
Sample Size: 1 fl. oz, $6.51
Full Size: 7 fl oz, $46.50

Tips for a Moisturized skin:

  • Showers should be less than 15 minutes, if you are like me and can't really stick to a shorter shower, lather your body up with baby oil before getting in the shower.
  • Nonsoap cremy cleansers are ideal for washing.  The more a body wash foams, the harsher it is on your skin
  • Exfoliate your body every 2-3 days with a loofah or a salt or sugar scrub.
  • Put on your moisturizer right after your dry off after getting out of the shower.
  • Put moisturizer on before going to bed
So do you think that you will be buying this body creme?  Let me know what you think.  Also what is your favorite body lotion or creme?

TheBalm Stainiac lip and cheek stain

I received theBalm Stainiac lip stain in beauty queen inside my June 2012 Birchbox. Again I had never heard of this brand so it was completely new to me.
The applicator bottle color did scare me, it looked really red! I already have big lips so I don't need things to make them look bigger! But once I put it in it was a lot lighter in color and I do like it a lot!
I have never heard of a lip stain before, but I LOVE IT!!! Lipsticks and lip glosses always seem so messy and just are getting on everything. This lip stain does just what the name says, stains your lips, so the color looks more natural and doesn't get messy!! I can wear my Chapstick on top of it and it doesn't remove the color.
This is also a cheek stain! So instead of applying blush you just put this on and rub it in!!!
I will definitely be buying this item! You will love it as much as I do!!

Full size 0.3 oz $17

Caudalie premier cru The eye cream review

I received this sample in my beautybar.com sample society June 2012 box.

It was a tiny 0.03 fl oz sample but enough to try it out. I had never heard of this brand before.
Just looking at my eyes after I used it I didn't notice anything but then I took a picture and noticed a huge difference in the eye with and they eye without. It took away the bags underneath and really did brighten my eyes. I was shocked!!

This eye cream is $95 for 0.5 oz. I honestly don't think I could talk myself into paying that much but I do think if I could find it on sale I would definitely buy it!!!

Murad clarifying cleanser review

I received the Murad Clarifying Cleanser- step 1 cleanse/tone- in my beautybar.com sample society June 2012 box. I honestly didn't think I would use this cleanser on myself because I have been using proactiv. I also don't have acne, just a few pimples that come every now and then.
I decided that I would try the Murad cleanser a few nights ago because I've had a few pimples that just will not go away. I was actually pretty scares to try it because I had read other peoples reviews about it making their face dry.
I tried it anyway....
I am 100% happy with this product. It got rid of my stubborn pimples, it's so easy to apply and doesn't leave being a oily residue and It also smells good! My face is not dry at all. I apply moisturizer every night after I wash my face though, so I don't know if others don't do that. I also try to apply moisturizer in the morning and in the afternoon.

The Murad website says this "Why you need it:
Penetrates deep to fight blemishes where they begin
Primary Benefits:
Eliminates 99.9% of surface bacteria in 60 seconds
Clears blemishes and prevents new breakouts"

I WILL buy this product when my sample is all used up. It's actually not to badly priced but it's not cheap either!!

6.75 FL. OZ. $26

Masqueology brightening mask review

I got 1 Masqueology brightening mask in my June 2012 Birchbox. I have never used any kind of mask before so I was interested to try this one out.

The packaging says it "revitalizes and evens out the appearance of your complexion." "diminishes the appearance of dark spots."

The directions on the package were extremely simple to follow which was nice.
You wash your face, unfold the mask which is folded in quarters. The mask has flaps where you can cover your mouth and eyes of you wish or leave them down. Relax for 20 minutes, then remove the mask and throw it away. Don't rinse your face, you just massage the remaining product that is left behind into your face and neck. That simple.

The mask is pretty funny looking to wear. It's looks like I put wet paper on my face!

I didn't notice any changes in my skin after one use. Maybe it takes more uses?

Masqueology 3 pack brightening mask $24.00.

Have any of you tried this mask, and what did you think?
